Firm Overview

Noriega & Associates was founded in Bakersfield in 1988 to provide effective legal representation in business law and civil litigation to businesses and professionals in Central California and Southern California at a reasonable cost.  The firm currently employs a team of four outstanding attorneys with experience in commercial transactions and litigation in every aspect of business from formation to dissolution, with particular emphasis on oil and gas law and real estate law.  See our attorney profiles to learn more about our excellent lawyers, or visit our practice areas overview page for more information on the matters in which we may be of service.

Firm member Robert J. Noriega was raised in Bakersfield and has deep roots in the law and the local community.  His father, firm founder Joseph Noriega, is a retired Kern County Superior Court Judge.  The firm's philosophy remains committed to serving the needs of residents and businesses in Bakersfield and throughout Kern County and surrounding areas.

Our attorneys are experienced at both the trial and appellate levels in both state and federal courts in California.  Our lawyers are admitted to practice in courts throughout the state of California and in all Federal District and Circuit courts in the state, as well as the United States Supreme Court.

Our clients range from physicians and other professionals to family-owned businesses, large institutions and independent oil companies.  We strive to be a full-service law firm and also handle matters such as bankruptcy for the benefit of our clients.  Our attorneys also frequently serve as local counsel to California and out-of-state attorneys who have a case pending in the Kern County Superior Court.
